She is almost a year old and is still deathly afraid of car rides. She is in the car almost every day, either to my boyfriend's house or the dog park. Drugs and Epilepsy..?

Ok i know this sounds immediately stupid, but i have epilepsy and use drugs recreationally, and fairly often. To what extent do they make it worse? It let up for a few years but has become bit of an issue again over the past year of two and i'm wondering to what extent the two things are linked. I have started having black outs again, and the 'de ja vu' feeling regularly, as well as general confusion for long periods, and 'spacey' feelings... Fairly concerned and would like other epilepsy sufferers opinions, especially if you have used drugs now or in the past. I dont know whether to go back on epilepsy medication, which i havn't taken since i was about 12 (im 19 now). I take E, coke, mdma, shrooms, ket, smoke weed.... i dont have a drug problem and its not daily, no preaching please!!

Why wont my lawn mower move?

I have a yardman riding mower with a briggs&stratton I/C engine. I was using it in 4th gear going up a hill when it stopped moving. I turned it off and now i cant get it to start. I tried both the keys start and the pull cord. I didnt change any tires lately and it ran fine yesterday. It has new battery, spark plug, and has always started. I need to get this working or my lawn will be 1 foot tall. when it wouldnt move I turned the mower part on and it shook a lot. what could be causing it not to move? Kitten nibbling, licking, and kneading?

We got our kitten a few weeks ago and we got him from a store so i'm pretty sure he is over 8 weeks old. But still he likes to lick my chin, lips and neck and then nibble and some times he kneads me and blankets. I have had cats before so i know that sometimes this means they were taking from the mom too early but other than that is there other reasons for this? is this normal. Several girls at work were talking about how disgusting it is (peeing in shower) and put "death threats" on their bf's/husbands if they THOUGHT of peeing in the shower. Ok I have some ideas. Being a pet owner, especially cats and dogs you may want to try taking your dog out each day for a short ride or walk with you. Try to set up some a lone time for her with you so that the cat can't steal your attention your giving to the dog. Also most cats hate being sprayed with water. Get a plant water spritzer or a good water gun with some distance on it and when the cat tries to boss the dog around hit him with water. Also if possible set up a place where the dog can have alone time. Not sure how, given cats can get into places that dogs can't, but a little creativity and advice from your local pet store might give you some ideas. Hope this helps

I recently quit smoking, but I am still having quite lucid dreams where I am out with my mates and somebody offers me a cigarette, which I end up smoking then I'm back on the cigarettes full-time and feeling really guilty. Do you think the trend for tanning is becoming less- moms?

i used to tan a lot in high school and for a year or two after. i looved being tan! it makes you feel better and having color always makes you look better all around. but after a while and especially after not tanning at all while i was pregnant, now i just look at it as a waste of money when i could just lay out while my toddler is napping! i'd way rather get a natural tan anyway... so if i were to get any type of skin cancer, at least i didnt pay to get it.

this gets long, so, infertility er doctor said test was inconclusive and just so happens i had with me a urine preg test that had half a pink positive line on it- so i was spotting with no cramps and i am using natural progesterone cream( i did not tell them i am using the cream) than a few days later went to my regular doctors and a "resident" saw me- she did a urine and blood test- said to me next day on the phone both were negative- i said what was the level she hesitated and blurted out 0, and said i was never pregnant- i said it was a 1 hcg level when i was in the er a few days before- she said what test? she was unaware i had the test done and that i am a high risk infertility patient with corpus luteum failure- anyway yesterday i took another urine test and it started to form a pink line but only alittle and i am still on progesterone and the bleeding fully stopped finally after 6 days- i had no clots or cramping and i feel pregnant but my hcg is f-d up/ i read hcg comes from the corpus luteum as well as progestrone- but i have byped my not working right corpus luteum by using natural progestrone , cream- i think i am still pregnant but the placenta hasn't developed enough yet to produce the hcg they look for so badly to say you are pregnant- i am trying this new approach on my own- i have had several chemical pregnancies and am fed up----- seriously---- also er doctor told me my cholestrol was high-- i have since learned that our bodies take cholestrol and turns it into pregnenolone and than turns it into progestrone- none of the doctors seem to know what pregnenolone is- i asked a few- i feel my cholestrol went high trying to make progestrone for failing corpus luteum- any girls out there with lpd or repeated chemical pregnancies interested in all of this? i am toying with myyself to find an alternate route to pregnancy for lpd sufferrers like myself- my body does not feel like the other times when i lost, those times i took progesterone i went into a full bleed ut and my blood pressure dropped and i got weak- not this time- what do you other gals who suffer with lpd or corpus luteum defect or chemical pregnacies think of what i am telling you about????

When to worry about persistant nose bleeds?

We are from Alaska and are currently visiting in West Texas(dry climate). We have been here 7 days, and for the past 4 days, my 15 year old has been having at least one nose bleed per day. I know that it's probably just due to the climate change, but wonder if and when I should start worrying and take him to a doctor. Let me try and explain this as best as I can so you understand. I know it's a scary and difficult time. I actually just had the LEEP procedure done yesterday. So lets start at the beginning. You had an abnormal pap and it must have showed that you have possible precanerous cells or they wouldn't want to do a coloscopy. I had my colopscopy about three weeks ago. Yes it does hurt but take ibuprofein before and it really helps. The test is crucial to find out how far the precancerous cells are and what step to take. If they are telling you that you are Cin 1 thats good. That's mild and the lowest form of precanerous cells. I was Cin 3 which is severe. That is why I had the Leep test done. You should be asking your obgyn why they are scheduling a leep procedure for Cin 1. It shouldn't be needed for you. There are better options like freezing or something that are less painful and less dangerous. Sometimes with Cin 1 the cells will even heal themselves but your obgyn would know that. Ask all the questions you can to keep yourself in the loop. My Dr also was not very forthcoming with info so I researched it all online. Don't take what they say lightly because remember you are talking about cervical cancer if they don't take care of the abnormal cells now. To answer what leep is, its a procedure which cuts off a part of your cervix that has the abnormal cells. Then in a month I go back to see if the cells are growing back normal or not. It wasn't too painful, but some cramping after. Good luck with everything and I hope I helped a little.

I want to go to UC Davis but my problem is that I will get a huge debt. What I want is small debt. My mom is a nurse and my dad works in a car manufacturing and doesnt get paid as much as my mom. and we have a lot of stuff to pay. If this is to messy of a salutations you can buy color oops at walmart pretty cheap. If you p the course, you can apply to almost any university in the UK and more an more universities are seeing access courses as good, solid foundations for degree preperation.

Is it a good idea to go further into debt for student loans if the degree results in a high salary?

A friend's husband owes around $150K in student loan debt for chiropractic school. Unfortunately, becoming a chiropractor has not been lucrative. He often makes only $1K a month! On top of that, they jointly owe around $30K in credit card debt, have a home that is more expensive than they can really afford, and 2 car loans, among other things. My friend has recently landed a decently paying job, yet now her husband wants to uproot them so that he can get a degree in Radiology. This is a 3 year program, plus a residency, so, in other words, LOTS MORE DEBT. Plus, there would be the cost of moving, etc. Their rational is that the $400K salary of a radiologist would make this a wise move. I disagree. I think they should pay down their debt, and if that means husband taking a job that is "beneath" him, i.e. becoming a nurse, in order for them to pay down debt, so be it. Am I wrong? Is their grand idea a good one? I don't want to see this friend live a life of misery. I should add that they have had SIGNIFICANT marital discord in the past year, and divorce papers have even been filed (but not followed through with). Thanks. What is wrong with me?

I’m not sure if I even have a disorder. But lately I have been thinking that’s what this is. I tried to look my problem up earlier but I couldn’t find anything like it, except for the multiple personality disorder. I think it’s similar to a multiple personality disorder, but yet I feel that it’s different. I know how there are some people that will say they have another personality. I don’t really know how to describe it but my best way is that for example someone named Tom would have this disorder, and so the next day he would be “Bob.” I don’t know if I have that. So I’m going to try to describe what I have the best way that I can. I don’t exactly have another personality, imaginary friend etc. It’s just that, I’ve concocted another person that doesn’t exist. And I play out their life in my head, and sometimes I will play it out physically, like I’ll imagine I’m in a completely different situation. And this person and this life is the kind of person I’d want to be. I don’t do this ever in public. And I’m not sure exactly how long it has been going on but I know for sure that it has been over a year, maybe two or three. Lung Cancer - If caught in early stages?

A CT scan showed a pulmonary nodule on my grandmothers lung by accident while looking for something else not related. They want to wait 6 months before doing another scan to evaluate the growth of the nodule to see if its cancerous. Isn't that too long to wait?? I'm sorry that so many bad occurrences have happened in your life. It's really tough to get through those bad times. Sometimes you can't see the light at the end of the tunnel. But I think nearly everyone has a bad season in their life. I know for me it happened several years ago. My mother was dying of colon cancer, when my son and I went to spend her last days with her my wife left me while we were gone (it was over Christmas). Distraught over the bad things in my life, I wasn't the best employee in the world and I lost my job soon afterwards. I had met a wonderful woman and was engaged to her but I allowed all the bad things to effect me more than it should have and I broke the engagement, something that haunted me for years afterwards. There's more, but you get my drift. I was a Christian but had pretty much given up on having my prayers answered. Then something happened, I prayed sincerely to my God to help me to learn what I needed to learn, then I put all my faith in Christ to be there, no matter what, to help me with my troubles. I started going to a church that had an awesome singles ministry. I had the same questions you do. Over time my questions were answered to my satisfaction. Church, Christian friends, and prayer helped me more than I can say. Now I'm a very successful professional, am remarried to a woman that I know that God led me to, the love of my life. I'm trying not to preach, but just to tell you that things can get better. My answer includes my advice to seek out a church with people that you feel like you can connect with and ask the tough questions, allow a church family to help you.

i would suggest kamichama karin: it's about a girl who isn't really special- or so she thought. she's actually a goddess who's memory has been erased. the goddess side of her awakens when she meets kazune-kun, (he's the kinda cool/quiet boys that u mentioned, really!!) and he touches her ring, therefore letting her goddess side come out. (kinda similar to the way that kaname woke up yuuki's vampire side in VK hehe) it's a really good romantic comedy, and i highly suggest it!! also, gakuen alice (alice academy) is really good. when i finished watching ouran and was basically drowning in depression of no anime to watch, this anime was my saivior. the story line revolves around mikan sakura, a girl who lives in a country neighborhood, when suddenly her best friend hotaru imai is taken to a school for 'genius kids' in tokyo. mikan misses her best friend, and decides to chase after her. when she gets to the school, she finds out that the school is not a school for genius kids, but for kids with powers refered to as alices. You can not control other people. Not you uncle's behavior nor the rest of your families seemingly inexplicable behavior. What you can do is figure out your best course of action given the situation you are in. You can voice reason at appropriate times but I recommend avoiding conflict [physical altercations]. Often in my own life when I find my self getting too wrapped up in family dynamics, I foresee might happen, I ask myself what I want at the reunion or holiday? What do I hope to gain by going? Often that clarifies the situation and makes the goal attainable. I want to be happy and see everyone have a good time certainly not argue & scream, It helps me sidestep getting into a spat that can arguably have a very predictable outcome. But ever family is different and some houses I would never enter. Discounting of personal experience is rampant.

The Humane Society in my area is selling dogs for $17.76 (sorta like a 4th of july sale) and they have a German Shepherd there (a rarity in my area) that my family wants to adopt. Then there is another shelter that has fallen on hard times I guess and their dogs are free. They have a Rottweiler (again a rarity) that my family also wants to adopt. BUT our pit bull is pregnant, she is only due to have 5 puppies though. There's no telling how long these dogs will be available so if we want one of these dogs we have to decide, well now. How should I deal with a dog who vomits from eating snow?

I have a 10 month old boxer who keeps eating the snow on the ground. Ordinarily this wouldn't be a huge deal, but boxers are known for having VERY sensitive stomachs. He eats the snow and then vomits up everything that he has eaten. What should I do?

Have you had treatment for lower lumbar degenerative disc disease?

I've asked in pain management, but no answers yet. All discs in my lower lumbar L1-5 are in bad shape. My options are 4 weeks of therapy and brace to see if that helps, if not, then spinal epidural, if not that, nerve ablation, and surgery is in the equation, but he feels I am not to that point yet. Anyone had the injections or the nerve ablation that can share information? On a level of 1-10 my average pain is 7-8 and can elevate to 10 when I am running errands and housework. Should I skip the therapy and go right to the injections or nerve ablation for more relief though the pain will come back sometime and require more shots and ablation. The pain is in its 3rd year, and I'm at my wits end. Anyone that has had any of these treatments or even surgery? I don't mind the therapy for the 4 weeks recommended, but also don't want to get into therapy every week the rest of my life. My PA said after 4 weeks we would reevaluate and if therapy isn't working move on to another treatment. I'm holding him to that. Anyone that can share their experience also about spine fusion?

Perhaps you can get a lawyer and get custody of your mother's remains. Otherwise, and I hope this isn't insensitive, just grieve your mother and leave her ashes to the creep she lived the end of her life with. Like you said, she was your one and only mother despite the terrible childhood you had because of her, so you should grieve for her death, that is natural. I ride a Suzuki myself, a GS500F. It's been pretty reliable. Both of the bikes you're looking at are great for new riders to learn on; the Suzuki will be faster, but I expect the Kawasaki to get better mileage. The Kawasaki might also struggle to keep up on the freeway, while the Suzuki will have an easier time. Why are therapists/counsellors so useless?

Anyone I have ever been to offer suggestions, opinions and it feels like a conversation with a friend then a professional job on their parts..Im seeing one just now and she cant do anything for me. I have problems with social anxiety..And she comes up with ineffectual suggestions for my situation...I cry for an hour and she says 'i understand' and then doesn't see me for 2 weeks..So in actuality my 'suffering' didnt register..It seems such a 'non job'..No course of action is drawn up, no help..She seems as lost as myself..One goes to a therapist for 'hope' above all things hope..the idea that there can be a better tomorrow..and if someone does not have the authority or command or the true expertise to do more then just listen and has no ideas by the end of the session, what can a person do?? I got married to my husband when I was 25. At the time, we were not financially or mentally ready to have a child, so we decided to put that off for the time being. After 3 years of blissful marriage, I shockingly found that I was pregnant. We were devastated. Both my husband and I walked around for 3 miserable weeks trying to decide what to do, until I had a miscarriage. Though neither of us wanted to have the child, and were leaning toward getting an abortion, we were devastated again. So, we decided not to have children. However, 4 years ped and we started to think about children for the first time. We were financially secure, and ready. We decided to adopt a child, and then have a child. We found a 15-year-old boy who we instantly clicked with. We have filled out all the paper work, and are going to bring the child home soon. Just 3 months ago, we also discovered that we were pregnant. What will it be like, adopting a 15 year old? What about having children with a 16-year age difference? Will it be odd, that my husband and I are only 34 and 32, yet we have a 15 year old? Photoshop CS2 tools won't work, how do I fix them?

When you say they don't work, do they show up (as your mouse cursor) at all when you click them? Some tools, especially dodge and burn won't work on certain files or shapes. But sometimes photoshop can be dysfunctional. I would try to use them over something like a jpg photo and see if they work on that, if they don't you may need to get a new version of Photoshop. I recommend CS3, way better than CS2.

Can an employer make me pay for something that I never received?

My husband was a general manager at a Sonic Drive In in VA. They demoted him for "not knowing enough about his required duties" when he followed every request from the leadership team. They promoted him knowing the extent of his training! So, now he's an hourly manager at another location. He frequently has to go to other locations (including the one he managed) to transfer supplies when stores run out of things. These other locations are dirty on the inside and outside. The employees aren't in full uniform. The managers aren't submitting the required paperwork or achieving the numbers that the leadership team requires. Basically, my husband was demoted for not doing things that he really was doing & now finds most of the other GM's aren't doing. Okay, he'll get over it. THEN, the leadership team tells him that when a customer orders and then drives off without receiving or paying for their food, he has to pay for the ticket. He didn't eat the food, but they said this is a possible way for carhops and managers to steal money, so all drive offs will have to be paid for by the manager on duty or the carhops. VA code 40.1-29 sections C. & D state that it is illegal for an employer to withhold wages without written doentation of agreement, & it's also unlawful for them to make signing such an agreement necessary to retain employment. This isn't actually withholding, but it's certainly forcing us to pay out of pocket for goods & services that we did not receive. Last night, two guests ordered & changed their mind - going to the restaurant next door. My husband refused to pay for the food & today was demoted to a kitchen cook & yet again moved to another location. What can he do? Who should he call first?!
