Will the LGBT community settle for toleration or demand acceptance?

The thing is, accepting and agreeing with are two very different things. You don't have to agree with my life or my opinion to accept it. I could never expect anyone to agree with me 100%, but I do expect to be accepted to an extent. You don't like that I am a ?...Fine, but accept me as a human being and treat me as such. You don't agree with my opinion?...Fine, but accept that it is mine and differs from yours...does that make either of us wrong, no, not really. Opinions can be uneducated, misguided...even shallow, but not wrong. So, to a degree, I do expect acceptance...even from "those who, by nature, find ity distasteful". I find having romantic relationships with men distasteful...but I have acceptance for the women who do like it : )
