Why do people still buy old gameboys?

the reason people buy game boys is because parents who have a child that wants there first game console buy them because it is cheaper than buying a ds or psp and since they are new to these things it is not really worth the money plus some people collect old style gaming consoles another reason is that some people try to buy them cheap from gaming stores then sell them for a profit to a collector who will normally pay good money
